Our customer was challenged by the evolving nature of global data privacy laws, ensuring that their customer’s data was maintained and managed in compliance with those laws. The need was to prove to the board of directors through regular reporting that all PII data was being managed within company policies and global regulations.
Data Sentinel was implemented to discover, and persistently track and monitor PII data within all structured and unstructured data holdings across our client’s hybrid cloud and on premises sources. All PII data was inventoried and measured in real time against policies and regulations. When exceptions to these policies are discovered, Data Sentinel triggers automated remediation actions to lower the risk and exposure of the non-compliant PII data.
The technical infrastructure included within our PII data management scope of responsibility includes Teradata, Snowflake, AWS, Salesforce and MS360.
Our client is now able to prove compliance with global privacy regulations and is able to automate the process of DSAR and policy exception remediation.
